Commons on Vine Opens in Lancaster as a Modern, Versatile Event Destination

Lancaster, Pa. — The Lancaster County Convention Center Authority (LCCCA) announces the opening of Commons on Vine, a newly redeveloped event space located at the Lancaster County Convention Center in downtown Lancaster.

Designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s corporate and social event markets, Commons on Vine offers a flexible, technology-forward venue intended to attract new clients and expand event demand in the region.

“The goal of the Commons on Vine project was to create a welcoming venue that addresses the enhanced requirements of the corporate events market,” said Theodore L. Vedock, AIA, Principal at Hammel Associates Architects, LLC.

Located at 19 East Vine Street, Commons on Vine features a private sidewalk entrance and direct interior access from the Lancaster County Convention Center, offering convenience and accessibility for guests.

“The venue’s design intent is to create new event demand from a market sector not currently being met by the Lancaster County Convention Center,” said Kevin R. Molloy, Executive Director of the Lancaster County Convention Center Authority.

“The LCCCA vision was to create a venue that feels both inspiring and accessible, with great attention to acoustics,” said Sharron V. Nelson, LCCCA Board Chair. “Whether it’s a milestone celebration or a strategic business event, we wanted a space that adapts beautifully to each client’s needs,” added Thomas M. Showers, LCCCA Board Vice-Chair.

The $8.0 million redevelopment project was made possible through a $6.0 million grant from the Lancaster City CRIZ (Community Revitalization Improvement Zone) Authority.

“The Commons on Vine project would not have happened without the CRIZ Authority’s funding support,” said Molloy.

Commons on Vine anticipates welcoming approximately 16,000 guests annually, generating an estimated $3 million in economic impact in its first year, with continued growth projected in future years.
