Lancaster County Convention Center Authority

The Lancaster County Convention Center Authority (LCCCA) directs the publicly owned Lancaster County Convention Center in Lancaster, Pa. (The adjoining Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square is owned by the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Lancaster and leased to Penn Square Partners, the private company that holds the Marriott franchise.)

Run by a staff of two and a seven-member volunteer board appointed by city and county officials, the LCCCA is established under the Municipal Authority Act of 1945 and the Third-Class County Convention Center Authority Act.

The board is charged with providing a unique and inviting convention/exhibition/event venue with an integrated, privately owned, first-class headquartered hotel.

The authority is charged with providing economic benefit to Lancaster City and Lancaster County.

In addition, the LCCCA is working with LancasterHistory to preserve and promote the Stevens and Kleiss historical buildings located in the convention center complex and retaining the Smith historical properties for Convention Center Authority use.
